I'm so happy to present you with my recent painting! I worked a very long time on it and learnt so much during this process.
The faerie represents summer, nature and life. How sad it is that no season, no living creature... in fact, nothing will last forever. She is uneasy when she finds a dead butterfly when the life around her is so vibrant: a sign of what is to come.
This painting has been done in Photoshop. It took me about two months working on it on and off. However, I wasn't alone: I'd love to give great thanks to fantastic Marta Dahlig for her guidance, inspiration and support and to my wonderfully critical husband!

Thank you so much for your comments and favs in advance!
It's a beautiful piece. Every component is very well done and seem realistic. The choice of colors match perfectly with the summer theme, her expression couldn't be more perfect and the long eyelashes is a nice touch. Her hair blown by the wind plus the butterflies gives to it a soft and delicate atmosphere.
One thing I really like is how her anatomy and face traces discretely remind the caricature drawings which makes the piece more interesting.
I just would like to point out that the background is a little too blurry and the glow around her seems a little 'heavy'. I think would be better if the environment details were more apparent and the glow effect more soft and dispersed.
BEAUTIFUL!! Every thing about this piece is just plain beautiful. The colors, the butterflies, and the fairy itself is just beautiful. The colors work very well together and the anatomy is perfect. I love how some of it is blurred and other parts are sharp like her hair and face. I would just love to work up to your level one day (Still a newbie at digital art). How did you create something this amazing? Specially the hair. That alone must've taken forever.
Still need more words ... again it is just beautiful and I'm awestruck at how beautiful it is.
this is absolutely stunning!! it looks like you put a lot of effort in this piece and it turned out wonderful. I really like the soft colors and the way her body looks like it is glowing. very nice job!
My biggest recommendation would be to go easier on airbrushes, it turned out too blurry for me at some spots, like the edge where light hits the face or right arm. Look at how detailed the eyes are and compare to the base of the neck. Apart from that, I think there should be more shadows cast from the hair. Overall, stunning work here!
Thank you very much for your detailed comment. The blurry edges were deliberate to create a glow from where the light caught them. I also wanted to attract viewer's attention to the eyes and faerie's uneasy expression. I thought low detail in some areas and high detail in others would be a good way to go.
Thank you for your input. I will take it on board.
